DMCC, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, brings to you movies from around the world at JLT Park. This winter is the time when you can enjoy watching some of the best movies you can ever watch.

So, what is so special about this event? The event named as ‘Cinema Under the Stars’ offers you an amazing experience where you can watch movies in the open, under the night sky, along with your friends and family. Well, are you worried that you will not be able to meet the ticket charges for all? If so, rejoice on the fact that the movie screenings are free of cost. 

The JLT Cinema Under the Stars event will run till December, thereby offering you many chances to catch your favourite movies. The movies will be screened every Friday till December 27. The show will start exactly at 6.50 PM and provide you with unlimited fun and enjoyment with your loved ones.

1. The Professor and the Madman – Nov 8

A critically acclaimed movie, the Professor and the Madman is a look into history. The movie tells the story of a professor named James Murray who in the latter half of the 19th century set about to compile the Oxford English Dictionary. The movie also tells the story of a doctor, W. C. Minor who submitted more than 10000 entries while he was being treated in an asylum. These people make the Professor and the Madman. Released in 2019, the movie stars Academy Award Winners Mel Gibson and Sean Penn. It is a PG-13 rated movie which strongly advises parents to be cautious. The movie will be screened on the event on November 8, at 6.50 PM.

2. The Big Trip – Nov 15

Are you in for some fun and enjoyment? Then what do you say about going on an adventure trip with some animation characters? If you wish to undertake this journey, there is no better film than the Big Trip. Released in 2019, the animation film tells all about a journey some animals undertake in order to return a  baby panda to its rightful home. This film is sure to provide you with the most fun and your kids would enjoy it for sure. The movie is suited for all audiences and come with a G rating. The movie will be screened on November 15.

3. Dragon Ball Super: Broly – Nov 22

There are many fans for the Dragon Ball series and if you are one, you would surely love the screening of the Dragon Ball Super: Broly. This movie falls into the genre of animation martial arts and action and has all the elements that capture your attention and captivates you. To summarize in a word, the film portrays the events that occur when Goku and Vegeta encounter Broly. The movie is PG-13 rated and will be screened on November 22.

4. Capernaum – Nov 29

An award-winning movie, Capernaum is a must-watch by all movie enthusiasts. The film talks about the life and struggles of a twelve-year-old boy and the people he comes in contact with. The film is directed by Nadine Labaki and has also been nominated for the Oscar. The film falls under the PG-15 category and will be screened on November 29.

5. Ride Like a Girl – Dec 06

Ride Like a Girl is an Australian movie based on a true story and the achievement in the life of a young woman Michelle Payne. She became the first woman jockey to win the Melbourne Cup in 2015. The movie is sure to inspire all and teach them the importance of dreaming and achieving your dreams. This 2019 film is suitable for all audiences. It will be screened on December 6.

6. Then Came You – Dec 13

Also known as Departures, the movie tells the story about a young girl who has only a little time left to live and a hypochondriac young man. They help each other out to achieve their dreams and to face their fears. The film released in 2019 and stars GOT’s Miasse Williams. It falls under the PG-12 category and will be screened on December 13.

7. SK8 Dawg – Dec 20

SK8 Dawg tells the story of a 14-year-old boy who is often bullied and his pet bulldog. The peculiarities of the dog are that it can speak and ride a skateboard. The inspiring movie was released in 2018 and will be screened on December 20. It is suited for all audience

8. Loving Vincent – Dec 27

Released in 2017, this animation movie is based on the life of the world-renowned painter and artist Vincent Van Gogh. The movie falls under the PG-13 category and is a must-watch. The movie will be screened on December 27.
